Geotechnical surveys of open pit mines and quarries
Our team performs author’s supervision, field exploration works and slope stability calculations in two of the largest mines in Bulgaria – Ada Tepe and Asarel Medet. We are also involved in projects for slope stability of the fence dyke of the “Brickel” slag dump, in the design of the piezometric system of boreholes for monitoring water levels in the dyke of the “Solvay Sodi” slag dump, as well as in the hydrogeological studies for the compilation of a filtration model for the design of a water-lowering system at the “Iskritsa” slag dump of the Maritsa Iztok 3 TPP.

Our company has concluded a framework contract for consulting, technical and design assistance in the project for development of “Khan Krum” mineral deposit – main mineralized section “Ada Tepe” by Dundee Precious Metals Krumovgrad EAD.

For the “Lyuljakovitsa” tailings storage facility, we performed geotechnical studies of an emergency slope spillway, a water discharge system and a pumping station.
Geological survey of
"Sukhodola" limestone quarry
For the construction of large facilities such as dam walls and roads, proving the necessary volumes of quality aggregate material is a difficult and responsible task. In this case, geological surveys were carried out on a pre-agreed network with a detailed description of the drilling materials and the quality indicator RQD – rock quality designation, the degree of weathering and the nature of the cracks in the massif.

Sukhodola quarry exploration
Based on the drilling was made a three-dimensional geostructural model of the deposit together with an assessment of the reserves and recommendations regarding the method of extraction. Our team is also experienced in smaller sand and gravel quarries.
